After the guide, I was the first to rappel down the wall. I wanted to get it over with!

We woke up at six thirty in order to be at the Zion Adventure Company, which introduced us to two guides who would take us rappelling and hiking. One of our guides' name was Diana and the other was Laura. We then got into a raised Toyota and drove through a tiny part of Zion. One easy way to know you're in Zion is that the roads are reddish.

We parked the car, got out, and got our harnesses on and helmets, so it would be less stuff to carry. We started to hike and five or six minutes into the hike, Diana said there were going to be three rock obstacles to climb over. They were pretty easy.

We got to the first rappelling point, a forty foot cliff that had a sloped-in wall and looked pretty imposing. Diana went, then me, so I could get it over with. It was scary. You were basically trusting your life to a rope less than an inch thick.

I finished the rappel but my hands hurt because I was gripping the rope so tightly. When I got down I was promptly told there was another shorter rappel ahead rather than a walk. When I got down that, we climbed down through a slit in the rocks to the next and final rappel point. It was pretty much a sheer twenty foot cliff.

After that, I ran as fast as I could toward the exit after I unbuckled from the rope. As I got outside, I noticed how drastic the temperature difference is from inside the slots of the coold rock and outside in the blazing sun. It was like 15 or 20 degrees! We hiked back to the car, and as soon as we were underway, I passed out.
