We did a Science Fair for home schooling.  

I only wanted to do one topic: "Which liquid expands more than others?"  I came up with the idea myself.  I saw it on the computer on a list of science fair projects.  Aunt Di found the website for me.  She is my aunt.  She's a science teacher.

And my catchy title for my exhibit board was: "Which liquid gets fat fastest?"  It was a cool name. 

The different liquids I tried were sugar water, regular water, salt water, apple juice, vinegar, and milk.

So we put the salt water and the sugar water and the regular water and the apple juice and the milk and the vinegar into six bottles, and we put the bottles into the freezer.  We left them in there for three days, and we marked every day how much bigger the liquids got.

It was very fun.   It took like five days to do the experiment. We did one of making the board.  Then the second day was getting the bottles ready. And then three days were doing the experiment.

My hypothesis was water would expand the most.  Because I thought it freezes faster than most liquids and would expand more every day. And I was right.  It expanded 10 mm. The apple juice expanded 6 mm.  The sugar water expanded 5 mm.  The salt water expanded 5 mm.  The vinegar expanded about 4 mm.  The milk expanded like 4 mm, too.

This was my board. We stapled on the outline of the board and glued everything else.  There are pictures on the board of me doing the experiment.  I have more data on the board.

We put our projects in a table on the clubhouse, and we put a comment book with a pen there, and two people wrote comments.

My brother and sister did projects too.

I learned a lot; it was cool.
