On the Water by WILL
No hands! (My mom loves that.)
By WILL
Today we went tubing and I showed everyone how to kneeboard. Callie went tubing for the first time ever.
Callie nervously got on the tube and I told her to hold on. I got on the tube and I put my arm over her in case she let go. My dad straightened us up and then shot off.
Climbing onto the tube.
We were speeding over Padre Canyon, a section of Lake Powell our house boat is on. Callie wanted to go faster so I gave the spotter a thumbs up. We heard the engine roar and the next thing I knew, we were outside of the wake.
Callie said uuuuuuu and as we bounced around, it got higher or lower.
Now some signals for tubing:
👍Thumb up (faster)
👎Thumb down (slower)
👌zero (perfect)
Hand motion up/down (bumpier)
Hand across throat (cut, stop the engine)
Circle (go in our wake)
Just me, going really fast.
A wake is the waves created by the boat moving across the water. The faster you go, the less wake you have because there is less weight pushing on the water, so less water is displaced.
One last thing: NEVER GO NEAR THE PROPELLER WHEN IT IS IN MOTION!!
