Kennedy Space Center
BY DOYLE
Yesterday we visited the Kennedy Space Center, where lots of rockets and space shuttles have launched into space.
Callie and I ran around and spied on dad in the rocket park. He was trying to look for us, but we kept running around.
Will and Dad, teeny tiny in the rocket park.
Then we climbed into the rocket crew capsules. They were small and I couldn't believe how astronauts could fit in there with their suits on. They're a grownup!

Inside the Angry Birds Space Encounter, we got in line for a laser beam challenge. We weren't allowed to touch the lasers and we crawled and jumped and ducked under, over and around them.
The goal was to hit the golden eggs and when we were done we hit the meteor so the timer would stop. The man set the game in 'easy' mode for us. I think it was very easy.
We saw an IMAX movie about the Hubble Space Telescope. It's a giant unmanned telescope that explores space and sends images back to Earth. I loved the movie. It was in 3D. Everything in it was great.
We ate lunch and I only had salad and dessert. We had cookies with chocolate chips and M&Ms and also chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. The chocolate cake was better.
An astronaut came and talked about what it was like to be an astronaut. His name was J.O. Creighton and he flew on the space shuttle three times into orbit.
The astronaut told us about how to put on the space suit and said it was like putting on all your snow stuff when you're a kid.
Callie and I played on a space playground. We climbed really high and went down a really vertical slide. It was padded on the sides. It was really big! We played a lot, and Callie loved the yellow slide, it had lots of swirls.
The Kennedy Space Center was awesome!!!
